Teva Pharmaceutical Works Co Ltd is the Hungarian operation of Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd, one of the world's top 20 pharmaceutical companies and a specialist in the development, production and marketing of generic and proprietary branded pharmaceuticals. In order to meet an increasing demand for weight sorting, Teva Pharmaceutical Works has purchased a SADE SP100 tablet/capsule weight sorter from CI Electronics.
János Dombovári, the dry plant engineer at TEVA Pharmaceutical Works Co Ltd, is appreciative of the support provided by CI, saying: “They are one of the most reliable companies we deal with, especially with technical support. If we ever have a question, we are always able to talk to the right person and resolve the problem very quickly.”
Prior to purchasing the SADE SP100 sorter the company had been using an earlier CI model, the SADE-P2. This had proved to be exceptionally reliable, and CI still provide full support for it. However, increasing demand for weight sorting led Teva to purchase the SADE SP100 model. The SADE SP100 tablet/capsule weight sorter offers high accuracy, plus a facility for printing detailed reports directly without having to connect a PC.
Teva uses its SADE sorters to 100 per cent weight-sort production batches of certain of its capsule products, as well as some tablets, ranging in weight from 60 to 600mg.
Because of the variety of shapes, sizes and weights of products being produced CI took care to design the SADE SP unit to be versatile. Set up for sorting is easy, absolutely no change parts are required and dismantling for cleaning can be completed quickly and efficiently.
