About CroNiMo
The name CroNiMo is an assemblage of letters derived from three of the basic elements usually found in high quality stainless steels and other exotic alloys (Chromium, Nickel and Molybdenum). As its name implies, CroNiMo is committed to producing machinery for the pharmaceutical industry that blends high quality European craftsmanship and their knowledge of working with Stainless Steel. This Austrian-Dutch family-run, Argentinean company has slowly and quietly built up a strong global customer base because of their commitment to quality and the competitive price position of its products. Their products include High Shear Granulators, Mills, Coaters and Fluid Bed Dryers as well as completely integrated systems.
CroNiMo Drum-Type Tablet Coaters
CroNiMo coaters can be used for aqueous, solvent or sugar coating of tablets with the appropriate equipment safety precautions and ductwork provisions for the material being processed. Control systems provided are either Allen-Bradley or Siemens with touch screen HMI. The electrical control systems can be designed for either non-explosive or explosion proof rated environments as required. When operated in fully automated mode CroNiMo systems include a proprietary operating system control algorithm called ‘AutomaticFlow Control’ allowing the ability to automatically balance process air flow in and out of the system.
The CroNiMo Model 15 or 15 MP film coating system is for use in the formulation development laboratory (Model 15) or the pilot plant (Model 15 MP). The Model 15 can be fitted with 6, 10, and 20 liter drums, handling batches from 1-14 kilograms. The Model 15MP extends the capability of the Model 15 by including 4 interchangeable drums of 6, 12, 24 and 35 liters with the capacity from 1 kg up to 25 kg. The CroNiMo perforated drum coaters offer the same high quality in stainless steel materials and workmanship as in their granulators, fluid beds and mills.
The CroNiMo production units are models 45, 75, 150, 400 and 600 with respective working capacities of 60 liters (10-40 kgs), 90 liters (15-65 kgs), 210 liters (30-145 kgs), 450 liters (65-300 kgs) and 550 liters (80-375 kgs).
The spray guns normally supplied are Autojet® VAU®, Binks® or customer specified manufacture. The guns will be mounted on an easily removable, articulated arm that can be moved easily out of the operator’s way to the side of the unit to allow the operator easy access to the drum for cleaning and maintenance. The peristaltic pump heads are mounted directly on the unit. The CroNiMo coating systems are supplied with completely integrated air inlet and exhaust handling and treatment systems. Standard air heaters supplied are steam, however, electric heaters are available as an option.
