Tablet Presses
AC Compacting has many decades of experience in tablet presses and tablet compression technology. We have a wide range of tablet presses, starting from a highly instrumented, single station R&D rotary tablet press simulator and an uninstrumented production press for small scale manufacturing and clinical trial production. We also have a range of industrial rotary tablet presses for pressing very large tablets (up to 100mm in diameter) and are typically used for pressing chlorine pool tablets and detergent tablets. We also have a Courtoy R200 double-sided tablet press for sale.
High Resolution Tablet Printers
We are offering tablet printers from Printing International for printing tablets with the highest resolution images in the industry. These printers are especially good for accurately printing high quality images and logos onto small, coated tablets. Available as production and R&D units and can be supplied with or without a vision inspection system. Printing International printers can also be used to print images onto syringes, ampoules, and bottle caps.
Tablet Weight Sorting, Tablet Inspection and Tablet Testing
We have a range of instruments manufactured by CI Electronics, Ltd., for sorting tablets, capsules, and other solid dosage pharmaceutical forms by weight. The SADE tablet/capsule weight sorters have been used in the pharmaceutical industry since the early 1990s. Recently, CI Electronics has made a number of significant improvements to the SADE sorters, the SADE SP Series, and these instruments are now available to industry for sorting solid dosage forms and for industrial applications, as well.
CI Electronics has also applied the same technology utilized in the SADE SP series to their lines of tablet testing instruments. The CI Electronics model QM-4Bm small sample checkweigher is used for checking the weight of small samples of tablets and capsules. The model QM-HTDm is a tablet hardness, thickness and diameter tester.
Tablet Coating
We have a small bench-top fluidized bed tablet coater and dryer manufactured by Caleva Process Solutions, Ltd. The Caleva Mini-Coater Dryer (MCD for short) is used by pharmaceutical and formulation development scientists for spray coating small batches of tablets with a (usually) aqueous-based coating. This device especially is useful if you only want to apply a test coating onto a small handful of tablets.
We also have a new line of drum type tablet coaters manufactured by Cronimo, SA. The smaller tablet coater is an interchangeable drum tablet unit designed for R&D use and can be used for coating a batch of tablets as small as one or two kilograms. We are also offering a range of Cronimo fixed drum tablet coaters for pharmaceutical manufacturing, the largest capable of coating up to 500 kilograms of tablets.
Tablet Dedusters and Tablet Transfer
We have two types of tablet dedusters which are used dedusting or deburring pharmaceutical tablets. The motor of the air-powered unit can be immersed in water for easy cleaning. We also offer two sizes of electrically-powered tablet dedusters. All of our tablet dedusters can be easily disassembled without tools for cleaning.
Our automated tablet transfer system can be used to automatically divert tablets from a processing stream (such as from the outlet of a tablet press) for sampling, or other process. Our tablet transfer systems are custom-designed to your specifications.
