The Cromino lab-scale fulidized bed dryers are designed for drying small quantities of wet granulate, spray granulation or applying spray coatings onto small batches of pellets. These fluidized bed dryers are a little bit larger than the Caleva Mini-CoaterDryer and come in twelve and 22 liter capacities, making them capable of drying up to two and five kilograms of wet granulate, respectively. These smaller fluidized bed dryers share many of the same characteristics as the Cromino production-scale dryers, making them ideal for R&D, formulation development, scale up studies and small batch clinical trial production.

As with all Cronimo products, the machines are fully validateable and meet Free-of-Paint design requirements. The stainless steel work is of a very high quality, and meet or exceed GMP and sanitary standards.The contact parts are constructed of 316 stainless steel electropolished tp a mirror finish inside and out. Non-product contact surfaces are constructed of brushed 304 stainless steel.

The units are mounted on a brushed 304 stainless steel cart with lockable casters. The cabinet houses the electronics and air handling units while the casters provide easy mobility within your facility. CitDryer R&D fluidized bed dryers are capable of applying aqueous or organic based coating and have provisions for top and bottom spraying. The control options range from basic controls to the advanced, PC-based SoftLogic control system, which is also available on the Cronimo production-scale fluid bed dryers. All functions and process information are centrally controlled and monitored on the unit's touch screen controls.
