STYLOne
The new STYL’One model 105ML is the fastest mechanical based, single punch, R&D multilayer press in the industry. Speed, multilayer, flexibility, ease of use and versatility in addition to being an affordable solution, make this press a new standard in formulation development.
The STYL’One Press benefits from the latest technologies. The innovation relies on a unique patented mechanical design which brings precision and robustness under load. The main drive is programmable allowing a range of functionality and versatility not offered before. The Data Acquisition and Control software ANALIS, is an open platform supporting the latest technologies in data acquisition.
The compression time of the STYL’One is about five times faster than similar R&D presses available, with a minimum time below 40ms to reach compression peak. This machine can produce and study multilayer tablets at high speed (up to five layers with 3 powders): The technology for compression is unique and extremely versatile empowering the user with:
- Displacement driven studies (95% of R&D and production tablet presses)
- Force driven studies (used mainly in R&D and powder characterization)
- A combination of both modes on the same tablet
In addition this machine allows a control of the dwell time: Extended dwell times allow to study the behavior of tablet maintained under a given pressure.
The data acquisition software developed by MEDELPHARM collects, visualizes, analyses and exports acquired information. The new 2009 release allows to perform automated studies and to connect outside laboratory apparatus (i.e. scale, hardness tester ,…).
The STYL’One available as a model 105ML with multilayer capabilities for the pharmaceutical market, will be commercially available in the 2nd Quarter 2010.
Some new functionalities are already under development on the STYL’One platform: Dry coating, larger than standard tooling, etc. MEDELPHARM ‘s strategy has always been to protect its customers investments by making its technological improvement backward compatible.
The price point of the STYL’One makes it affordable to most budgets requiring multilayer capabilities This new machine will become an industry standard by making some unique functionalities already at hand on the successful rotary press simulator STYLCAM 200R available to a large majority.
This tablet press is robust, clean, easy to use and enjoys fast and simple clean-up. Made of GMP approved material it is compliant with most regulatory approvals. Compact in a 70x70x180cm elegant design and a weight of 1100kg, this equipment can be moved easily around a building.
