General Description:

The control system options for the Cronimo drum type tablet coaters range from basic PLC Based controls to the Cota-Control^® control system, which is a PC-Based Contol system featuring a user friendly graphical user interface which is a completely automated, recipe-based, CFR compliant touchscreen computer controlled system.

The control software used on Cronimo R&D tablet coaters is essentially the same as used on the production-scale models, which makes it easier to scale up an experimental an proccess or formulation to a full scale pharmceutical manufacturing enviroment.

PLC-Based Controls

The Cronimo drum coater software has the following features :

• 21 CFR Part 11 compliance
• Multiple user levels with password protection
• Manual or fully automatic operation
• Automatic Control of process variables
• Storage and retrieval of recipies
• Logging and storage of batch operatons with reporting functions
• Batch report printouts documenting every processed batch for regulatory compliance
• Graphical representation of granulator and its basic components
• And other options, such as monitoring/recording inlet/outlet air temperature, humidity, etc. if these tablet coater options have been purchased and installed.)

Safety:

All Cronimo tablet coaters come with hardwired safety circuits to prevent personal injury. Each is equipped with a large, red emergency stop (E-Stop) button to stop the machine at any time. The operator must press the green start button in order to restart the machine. The coaters are also equipped with safety interlock switches to prevent operation if a guard or cover is not in place, and immediately stop the machine if a guard or cover is removed while the machine is operating.
